A key highlight of the year was the 16th Annual Symposium of Sri Lankan Majlis Qatar, held under the inspiring theme of youth empowerment. The event reinforced the importance of developing strong moral character, leadership qualities, and a deep connection with Islamic teachings.
One of the most impactful religious initiatives of the year was a series of Islamic Lectures by Ash-Sheikh Mufti Yoosuf Haneefa, conducted during the latter part of 2016 and continuing to influence the community throughout the year. Another notable spiritual programme was the lecture series delivered by Ash-Sheikh Sajid Umar in January 2017.
